Calls for Opening Dates Factories at Farms in Qatif
During the Meeting of the Business Council of Asharqia Chamber Branchin Qatif
The Business Council of Asharqia Chamber branchin Qatif reviewed various topics related to the economic activity in the Province, and a number of projects that private sector looks to complete in the near future.
The Council discussed at its meeting ,held on Tuesday October 16, 2012 andheaded bythe Council 's Vice-President Dr. Riadh Al- Mustafa, building an industrial city in the Province, and the importance of this project to the society and national economy. Moreover, the Council addressed the officials views on the project.
The Council also addressed opening small factories for dates inside the farms tobenefitfromtheampleharvestofdatesin the Province.
Attendeesalsoreviewed"Guide ofeconomic establishmentsinQatif " project,andagreed onthe project's outlines, most notably tousepast experiencesof guides publishing,astheChamberpublishesan annual guideofcertain economicactivities.
Members also discussedthe latest developmentsonthe Province's Fish Market,which has astatespecial budgetanda piece of land allocated to it,where they arecurrentlyworking witha consulting firmto develop afinal planfor the next stage.
Afterthemeeting,theCouncil memberspaidavisittoQatif TechnicalCollege,viewed thecollegelabs,andtraining programs forstudents,andreceived a tour of the College with College officials .
Moreover,Council representatives attended the closing ceremony of (Pink Eastern Province) Festival organized by the Saudi Cancer Society, which received donations that reached 85 thousand Riyals from some Council members in the last meeting, and the Council was honored at the ceremony.
